The Bodyworkers Association for the Birthing Year
dedicates itself to educating and supporting Massage Therapists/Bodyworkers who believe massage and touch should be a vital component to women in their journey during pregnancy. This advanced
Prenatal Massage course contains much more than contraindications and safe positioning. You will learn the most common structural changes experienced during pregnancy and perform specific massage techniques that address those structural challenges. You will be able to demonstrate relaxation techniques during your massage session with the pregnant Mom. We will explore the most recent scientific information regarding the significance of pregnancy and the impact of the Momís thoughts, emotions and feelings upon the unborn child and be able to communicate those concepts. You will learn the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, in addition to medical conditions.
This is a hands-on, interactive workshop with plenty of practicum work during the class. You will massage a pregnant Mom during the last day of the class. Upon completing the workshop you will receive 22 ce credits
approved by NCBTMB for massage continuing education credits. Manual included.
