Prenatal Massage Certification

The Bodyworkers Association for the Birthing Year dedicates itself to educating and supporting Massage Therapists/Bodyworkers who believe massage and touch should be a vital component to women in their journey during pregnancy. B.A.B.Y., Inc. trains massage professionals to become Certified Prenatal Massage Therapists. This course will provide much more than just contraindications and correct positioning. You will learn the importance of words and reframe the words most commonly used for pregnancy. You will be able to demonstrate special breathing techniques, relaxation and visualizations that are special to the pregnant woman and her baby. Massage for the pregnant woman and her baby is a beneficial and vital component to maternity care, come prepared to practice and experience new ideas and skills.

To become a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist you must complete the following:

• Attend a Prenatal workshop
• Complete the required reading
• Submit documentation verifying 10 Prenatal massage sessions
• Submit completed certification materials within one year of entering the program
