FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- IS THIS PROGRAM APPROVED BY NCBTMB FOR CE CREDITS?
YES! The Massage Birth Assistant/Doula Certification and the Prenatal Massage Certification program are approved for 22 ce credits each.
- WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE INSTRUCTOR?
Sandy Ventura Gordon has been a Massage Therapist for over 30 years (since 1985). She completed her midwifery training in 1995 and has attended many births in many different birthing environments. She teaches childbirth education and is a Certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner. Addditionally, in 1996 she created and taught five massage programs for one of Nashville's leading (and lst) massage schools.
- DO I RECEIVE A MANUAL WITH THE COURSE?
YES! You will receive a professional high quality manual during the seminal.
- CAN I TAKE THE SEMINAR JUST FOR CE CREDITS?
YES! You can choose to take the course for cerfication or just for ce credits.
- WHAT MUST I DO TO BECOME CERTIFIED?
For the Massage Birth Assistant/Doula certification program you must complete the required reading list, attend three births and audit a childbirth education class in your area. To become certified for the Prenatal Massage Certification program you must complete the required reading list and complete 10 prenatal massages. You will receive the required verification forms to be returned to B.A.B.Y. INC. for certification. You have one year to complete all the requirements.
- WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY CE CREDITS?
You will receive your ce credits upon completing the seminar. You will receive your transcript and certificate of completion to keep for your records at the end of the seminar and will receive your certification of certification and certificate of achievement upon completing the requirements for certification along with the veriification forms.
- MUST I READ THE BOOKS BEFORE ATTENDING THE CLASS?
If you are taking the course for certification you do NOT need to begin reading the books before attending the seminar.
